Category: Hints & Tips

Pain Avoidance Articles: Most people will do more to avoid pain than they will to seek pleasure. You can use this psychological trigger as the basis for a series of articles that show how to avoid pain associated with various issues within your niche.

  • Opening Paragraph: Introduce the pain to your reader and sell the “pain-relieving” benefits of reading your article.
  • Relieve the Pain: Give real-world solutions to the pain in 3-10 paragraphs.
  • Supporting Paragraphs: Offer reasons why your offered solutions relieve the pain (1-2 paragraphs max).
  • Closing Paragraph/Conclusion: Reinforce why your reader is in pain, how to relieve the pain and why it’s in their best interest to follow your advice.
  • Resource Box

Key Insight: Everyone experiences pain in some form, whether it be physical, psychological, emotional, financial, etc. Articles that help people cope or eliminate pain deliver real value. As the expert author, you are the pain problem solver.

Pros and Cons Articles: Your readers love reading the pros and cons of relevant research you’ve conducted in your niche. Give it to them in your next set of 400 word articles.

  • Opening Paragraph/s: Introduce your argument with
    1-2 paragraphs max.
  • Create Pros Sub-heading: Provide a minimum of 3-4
pros and try using bullet points to present your list.
It will make your article easier to read.
  • Create Cons Sub-heading: Provide a minimum of 3-4
cons and try using bullet points to present your list.
It will make your article easier to read.
  • Closing Paragraph/Conclusion: Wrap up your article
by describing your position and why.
  • Resource Box

Key Insight: Too often articles are written that debate the merits of the author’s position (nothing wrong with that), but they fail to provide counter-arguments that can actually improve the authors credibility for being able to see the big picture or at least acknowledge the counter-arguments that exist (even if they don’t agree with them).

Principles of X Articles: There may be no “right” way to do this template as many choose to use identifiers other than “principles” (E.g., secrets, thoughts, ideas, qualities, etc.), but they all usually give a numbered list with sub-headings that make it easy for the eye to see and read the “principles” outlined.

  • Title: Make sure your article title lets your reader
know they will be learning the “principles” of
    something.
  • Opening Paragraph: Explain why your “principles”
are important to the reader along with any social
proof claims that can support your statements.
  • Create “Principle” Sub-headings: Describe your top
“principles” along with why each one is important.
  • Closing Paragraph/Conclusion: Offer suggestions
on how to apply the outlined “principles” or a helpful
tip to help the reader overcome any objections they
might have to understanding or applying one of your
“principles” to their life or business.
  • Resource Box

Checklist Articles: Your target reader loves checklists because they distill the essence of what someone else (you, the expert) have painstakingly identified as being important for a particular problem.

  • Title: Your checklist article title should include
keywords relating to the type of checklist you are
    creating plus the word “checklist”.
  • Opening Paragraph: Introduce your reader to the
topic and explain why the checklist exists.
  • Create Checklist
  • Closing Paragraph/Conclusion: Encourage the
reader to pay close attention to the benefits of the
    checklist.
  • Resource Box

Tip: Make sure your checklist is actually a checklist. I.e., don’t ramble on without using brackets [], bullet points and/or a numbered list. Your checklist should be fast and easy to read while delivering on the promise of a checklist from your article title.

Survey Results Articles: Your readers love reading the results of relevant surveys you’ve conducted in your niche. Give it to them in your next set of articles.

Why articles that include the results of surveys are valuable:

  • You are delivering the result of multiple hours, days
    or weeks of research.
  • You are summarizing mountains of data into a less
    than 1,000 word summary.
  • You are helping your reader to key into which
numbers in the results are important and why.
  • You are describing how to evaluate the results, and
how they can apply to your reader’s business.

A single survey’s results can help you easily produce a series of 2-15 articles.

Key Insight: It’s better to share survey results from surveys you or your company has done. Never share results of surveys that came from proprietary information you had to pay for. It’s recommended that you never write articles that use the basis of someone else’s survey results as the basis of your article/s.

“Golden Rules of X” Articles: This article template idea is ridiculously simple, yet can be powerfully perceived as valuable by your readership. Here’s how the Golden Rules of X article template works:

  • Create an article title:
    Examples:
    a. “Golden Rules of _____________”
    b. “The 16 Golden Rules of ____________”
    c. “____________ Golden Rules To Live by”
  • Using a numbered list, include the rules that sum
up the primary lessons you’ve discovered or learned
    through your experience & expertise.
  • Expand to include “WHY” each golden rule you’ve
    outlined is important.
  • Summarize at the end the theme behind why your
set of golden rules are important and what it will
mean to the reader when they implement them in
    their own life and/or business.

Broad vs. Narrow focus: You can include the golden rules of various aspects of your niche including narrow topics or sub-topics rather than only a broadly-focused set of golden rules.

Example: One might write an article on the: “7 Golden Rules of Article Writing & Marketing”.

Follow that up with an article on the
“10 Article Title Golden Rules To Profit By,” “4 Golden Rules of Writing Resource Boxes That Sell,”
or “19 Golden Rules of How To Pick Article Topic Choices”.

People use different words when they search for online content. These search terms are called keywords.

Keyword Research tools can help you discover topics that people are currently searching for that are related to your expertise. Use this as a springboard to launch another 25 articles that are each 250-450 words and relate to the topics your potential audience is searching for. Provide articles that answer the readers’ questions in their search query.

Popular Keyword Research Tools:

1. Wordtracker: generates keywords for search engine
and website optimization.
http://www.wordtracker.com/

2. Keyword Discovery: compiles keyword search stats
from worldwide search engines.
http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/

3. Goodkeywords: downloadable freeware that queries a
number of popular search engines to identify good
keywords.
http://www.goodkeywords.com/

4. Google Alerts: email updates of the latest relevant
Google results based on your choice of topic or
keywords.
http://www.google.com/alerts

5. Google Suggest: as you type in a keyword, Google
offers suggestions and shows the number of results.
http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&complete=1

Example: “Yoga” when entered into Google Suggest
tells me that I should write articles about
“Yoga Journals” or “Yoga Journaling”.

Key Insight: While you may be tempted to write only about the most popular topics, also remember that these topics have the most competition within the search engines–meaning, you are fighting against hundreds or thousands of competitors to get the attention of the market to your article.

Perhaps a better strategy is to focus on the middle to lower “tail” of the market by looking at the 50th-200th most popular keywords or phrases from your keyword research and use them as your basis for your next set of articles. There will be less competition for the ‘long tail’ than the short list of most popular terms and key-phrases.

Tip: Look at how your niche keywords may intersect with a holiday or current event. It’s a great way to pick up current interest traffic!

Ready to submit your next set of quality original articles?

When you get used to writing good content and finding your niche keywords, maybe do some research on Mass Article Submitting using the proven software available on this blog. Article submitting is a great way to earn money online, but is very time consuming, having software that submits and does all that leg work for you releases all that time back so as you can work on other projects and maximise your profits.

All Downloads, e books, and software carry a 60 day 100% moneyback guarantee.

Articles are a great way to make money online. If you are new to the internet, or a pro writing articles can be a great source of income.

There are actually several ways that writing articles can make you money. By submitting your articles to article directories, your articles can be used by webmasters who are looking for content to place on their websites.

The articles that you have submitted to article directories may also be read by people who find them while searching online. This could give your writing quite a bit of exposure.

You can use the articles that you write to generate free traffic to your website so that you can generate more sales. You can do this by placing a link to your website in your article or in your author bio.

You could also use your articles to create a website. If you create a website that consists of informative articles on a specific topic you can sell advertising on your website to related businesses. If you decide to create a website using your articles, you could also place Google Adsense ads on your website and get paid each time a visitor clicks on one of your Adsense ads.

You could turn your informative articles into your own ebook and sell them for a profit, or you could even turn your articles into an email course.

Some internet marketers write informative articles on topics related to an affiliate product. They then include a special affiliate link in their articles to the affiliate product that they are promoting. When a reader clicks on the link and purchases the product the author makes a commission.

When you are writing articles to make money, one important point to remember is that you will be much more successful if your articles are informative and give the reader valuable information. It’s important to build trust with your reader and actually offer the reader something of value in your article.

If you can give the reader valuable information that is useful to them, then you will be building a trusting relationship with that reader. This way when you recommend a product or website, to your reader, they will be much more likely to follow your advice because you have already given them something of value and you have already initiated a trusting relationship with them.

One other point to remember when writing articles is to keep them short. People are bombarded with information every day. Very few people have the time or the interest in reading lengthy articles. If you can give your reader interesting and valuable information in 500 to 700 words, you will find your articles getting read and getting results.

Article Marketing is a great way to profit from the internet, nevertheless it’s not that simple. You have to understand how it works and how to take advantage of it, converting your articles into a juicy multiple income source.

The Spirit of the Article’s Title

The article title is the first thing a reader spots, and so do search engines, therefore it is extremely important to catch your audience’s attention with a powerful message.

Article Content for Search Engines

The article content is the core element of article marketing. Your reader is checking your expertise on the subject, so the information has to be accurate, professional, original and well written. Thanks to the article’s quality, you will establish your reputation online as an expert on the subject.

But besides the reader, search engines also enjoy your article’s content. This is a great opportunity to place relevant keywords in order to improve search engine indexing of the article. It is also an opportunity to place links to information resources (to improve credibility) or to relevant pages on your site.
Add highly targeted keywords at the beginning and at the end of the article. Use relevant keywords in the title and article summary as well.

You can edit your article’s content at any time, so you can constantly update your article.

In order to stand out among the thousands of articles in the Articles directories or in the Articles directories RSS  feed used by hundreds of websites, it is important to have a clear and convincing title, one that will “impact” the viewer to keep reading.

It is recommended to include relevant keywords in the article’s title, but at the same time refrain from using a meaningless title containing only keywords. For example, an article about loans with the title “loan loans” has no meaning for the reader and will probably drive the potential readers away to the next article on the subject.

Instead, try a catchy title such as “The Little Secret About Loans That Can Change Your Life…”.

I hope this tip comes in handy at some point when your submitting your articles.

More tips will be coming on this page, add the rss feed to keep up to date….

Choosing the right Category is Critical

I will cover a new topic now and again, but as they are gradually getting more technical, it is very important for you not to miss any of our posts so that everything will be perfectly clear. Bookmark my RSS feed, to keep updated.

Even though most readers access articles through search engines and external links, it is still of great importance to place the article in the correct category when submitting it, for the following reasons:

-Many readers scan a category for relevant articles on the category’s subject. Some will even sort the category contents by popularity ranking in order to find the most popular articles on that category.

-RSS feeds, used by hundreds of websites, usually display results of a specific category. If an article is not placed in the correct category, it misses its targeted audience while inefficiently being viewed by the wrong audience.

Remember: When asking yourself what the right category for your article is, think about what your reader will be looking for. For example, if you are going to teach how to write a good resume, do not include it in the “Education” category, for your reader will be browsing the “Careers” category.

The article’s category is selected during article submission, but can always be modified. In order to modify the article’s category, enter your article account with your e-mail and password, go to: View/Edit Articles, choose the article you wish to edit and click on “edit” in the corresponding line. On the next screen you will be able to change the article’s category.

Please note that your article will once again need to be approved by the editorial team of the article submission site before being displayed.

Important note: If you feel a more specific category is required, use the category suggestion page or contact the support team. They will be very helpful, as they earn off the google adsense and other adverts, and will review the suggestion and update you accordingly.

Choosing Power Keywords

It is highly recommended you add relevant keywords to each article. Keywords are transformed in tags, and the Tags are indexed by Google as well as the article title and content. So if up to now an article could be found on Google by its title/content, now it can also be found by the tag. Therefore, it is highly recommended you add as many relevant keywords as possible for each article.

In order to edit an article’s keywords, log in to your article account, with using your e-mail and password, go to View/Edit
Articles, choose the article you wish to edit and click on “edit” in the corresponding line.

On the next screen you will be able to add/edit your keywords. Please note that if you make any changes to your article, it will need to be approved by your sites editorial team.

Mini Tip:
Remember to separate keywords using commas (,).

The Art of Writing an Article Summary

After you have “lured” the reader with an appealing title, the summary is the second convincing stage: This is your proof of fire to make your readers stay and read your article until the end.

An article summary is a quick snapshot of the article, showing the reader what to expect. It does not have to summarize the whole article but it certainly needs to have the most important points in terms of benefits for the reader. It must be convincing.

Why Generate Good Quality Content

Nowadays Internet readers search on more than one place to find relevant content on their topic of interest, and nobody likes to read tons of recycled content that is so common these days. That’s why it is so important to have good quality content in all the articles you submit. The more original and informative your articles are, the more they will be liked by customers.

It will also ensure that customers will be enticed to click on the link to your site on the resource box. This ensures more click-through and more traffic into your website!

In addition, quality content will help enhance your reputation as a reliable author.

Little Tricks to Promote Your Name

1. All About Selling Yourself

An author bio is essentially all about marketing your specialized skills and providing readers  and clients a glimpse of yourself.

A bio will not only highlight your career  achievements, your skills and competencies, but will also give readers an insight of your qualities and experience. Since the bio section has limited space, you need to make the most of it by talking about the things that matter the most!

2. Highlighting Your Credibility
In today’s age, facts play a vital role in convincing people. Gone are the days when puffery and self flattery would do the trick. In the limited space that an author bio provides, you need to be concise while also highlighting specific facts about your career.

State the facts exactly as they are, preferably with dates and key milestones achieved. This will greatly impress readers as to the genuineness and integrity of your work.

Your Tone of Voice Counts!

Depending on the topic you are writing about, even the tone of your bio should change.

For example, if your website sells toys and children’s books, your author bio should not be formal in tone. It needs to be light and easy going. On the other hand, if you are writing on a topic targeted at business owners, for example “website traffic improvement methods” or “SEO tips to jump start traffic,” then the author bio needs to be formal and business-like.

In this case you need to stick to facts and your career achievements and experience in this segment. For example, if you are talking about motivational topics in your article such as self improvement, alternative healing methods, etc., your bio can also include details on how you personally overcame these obstacles in your life.

If it’s alcoholism your articles deal with, then your author bio may mention how you personally overcame this problem and reached a stage where you can now offer unbiased advice to others.

How to Approach Articles Directories

Article marketing is one of the best ways to effectively propagate your website or business online. While there are a number of ways to submit your articles, one of the best resources for this purpose are online directories.

Today there is such a large demand for articles on the Internet that most article directories offer their services absolutely free of cost.

Then there are those niche directories that cater to select target audiences, hence they charge a subscription amount from the user. However, the choice of whether to opt for a free or a paid article directory is a matter of personal preference, although most free directories offer you the same if not better levels of service.

Add a Picture to Your Author’s Bio and Get More Clicks!

You can add your picture to your author bio. The picture will appear next to your articles, on your author profile and near your article summary on search results.

People like seeing who it is that is giving them advice, and showing them who you are is one more step in promoting yourself.

Your Article on Social Bookmark Networks!

So your articles are up and running, and visitors can find it through search engines.

But you wonder – is there anything else you can do to spread the word on your article and bring more readers? The answer is yes! Through social bookmarking websites you can raise the awareness to your articles.

There are several social bookmarking sites, and here are some examples:

Del.icio.us is a great website that serves as your virtual bookmark, allowing you to access your favorites from any computer, and to share them with others. Pages added to Del.icio.us are also ranked by their popularity, i.e. how many users have added the same page to their favorites. As a page becomes more popular, more Del.icio.us readers will access it, becoming your readers.

Stumble Upon is another social bookmarking site where people chose website they have “Stumbled Upon.” This service is very common thanks to a Firefox plug-in and can highly increase the popularity of your article. Some more recommended social bookmarking sites: Reddit, Propeller, Mister Wong and others.

Each article you submit can be easily added to the networks above by a simple click. Make sure to add all your articles to these networks (requires a one-time sign up process), and tell your friends about it. It costs nothing and it will most likely bring more visitors to your articles.

Don’t write only for SEO purposes

During the last few days I’ve been analyzing the content quality in several articles and I found them to be really poor.

Why does it happen? Read the following tip to be warned and make sure your articles are better!

Meaningless articles filled with loads of keywords are a strict no-no if you want your article marketing campaign to be effective.

Often you will find publishers of article directory sites rejecting them outright. While SEO is an important goal for any business owner to direct traffic to the site, it shouldn’t be the only goal of article marketing. The main focus should be on imparting useful knowledge, ideas and practical tips that readers can use.

Only then will the publisher feel the article is of worth. SEO follows as an added benefit.

You can use strategic keywords in places where you deem it necessary. Randomly populating the article with keywords will just jeopardize your campaign.

Proper Articles Distribution

While bulk submissions and automated distribution can be a boon to busy website owners, it should also have an element of quality in it. Most of the time business owners make the mistake of randomly distributing their articles to any and every article directory or email list. It’s essential to do a bit of research before you proceed with the distribution process. Find out if the website’s page ranking is good. It should have a PR of at least 3 or above.

Next, make sure that the domain name of the publisher site is not a weird sounding name. It should be easy to remember and be relevant to the site. Also, many sites will promise you free submissions but during the registration process you might find out the service comes at a premium subscription. Sometimes, the website may not have any publishing guidelines specified on its website.

After submission, you may receive an e-mail saying the article was rejected. Therefore, opting for good quality publisher sites that provide you dividends on the time and effort spent are worth it.

Why automated submissions can be your best bet to successful article marketing

For the business owner time is money. He or she needs more click-throughs to their site in as short a time as possible.

The business owner also needs more traffic to visit the site quickly and on a budget. Considering these factors, the best possible way to maximize the effectiveness of article marketing is through automated submissions.

There are many tools available that will submit your articles to multiple article directories for free. Some of them are free, while others require payment.
